Taking a bite out of Texas

a great day today, early start, departure right from the hotel. we went through an industrial area, followed by miles of malls, slowly working our way to the country. our road was smooth, the wind on our back. we stopped for an early lunch, as lincoln found some shade and brought out the big table and rolled out a feast. the sun was high as we rolled into fort hancock, we were met on the street by a local named street, he was a long time resident and had recently bought a bike, we had a good visit as he was very interested in the challenge. we pushed on a few more miles and ran into Matt, whoo was riding from Austin to San Francisco… he was riding solo. We elected to stop at 4, with 54 miles under our belt. We’ll start early in the morning, picking up where we left off.

  7. I just caught up on the blogs. Great effort=great work. Congrats on the miles. Add one more flat to the total. My rear was flat when I got back to Albuquerque. 420 miles with you and not a flat for me. I miss you all, but see that you are in good hands. Keep on keeping on. My best to all.
    Ride Safe-Mike
